Christmastime is here

Raise your hand if you're excited for Christmas (my hand is raised...way up high).  Honestly, I haven't been this excited for Christmas in years, and I mean years.  Maybe it's because I don't have to get through finals before I can actually get excited about the holiday.  It's the first time that has happened in 5 years.  

And before I had finals to worry about, Christmas meant Carol Grams with the Music Masters.  Carol Grams=singing the same songs over and over, everyday to earn money for our Hawaii trip.  I got to do this one for 3 years.  And seriously, it has taken me until now to get over it.  Yes, I finally like Christmas music again.

Maybe I'm also excited for Christmas because we got our very first real tree.  I like smelling it everyday and turning the lights on every night.  Every home needs a live tree.  They just make this time of year feel like Christmas.

Perhaps I'm excited because A Charlie Brown Christmas came on TV on Monday and that movie always make me feel like a kid again.
Or maybe because Christmas is on Sunday this year and that just makes me so excited and happy.  Christmas should always be on Sunday, don't you think?

Many of our decorations are homemade...I never had many so last year I decided to make some.

Yes, this was yesterday.

Whatever the reason though, I am thoroughly excited for Christmas.  We have decorated and gifts are starting to be bought and made.  True, the chances of snow here in North Carolina are pretty much zero, but I am still dreaming of a white Christmas and counting down the days.
